Posting Algorithms and PracticeTools PDF Print E-mail

The website is to be a means for sharing algorithms, practice tools and other behavioral health resources.  However, it is important that posted resources are appropriate and valid before they are shared and used by providers with patients/clients in practice settings.  In order to request an algorithm/tool be posted on the ICARE website, the Request Form for Posting Algorithms must be completed with all attachments.

After the completed request has been received along with the algorithm/tool and required attachments, the algorithm/tool package will be forwarded to the ICARE Algorithm Review Committee.  This committee will be comprised of members of the NCAFP’s Mental Health Council, the NCPA’s Clinical Committee and representatives of the NC Pediatric Society.  This committee’s responsibility will be to ensure that the algorithm/tool meets the following criteria:

  • Evidence-based;
  • Delivered in a format that is appropriate and user-friendly; and
  • Usable in the primary care environment.

The individual requesting posting will be notified of the decision prior to posting the resource on the website.
